Sunday, 28 September 2025

The 36th Panhellenic Congress of Perioperative Nursing, held from 25–28 September 2025, concluded with outstanding success, marking one of the largest attendances in the history of SY.D.NO.X. and reaffirming its status as a leading scientific event for the perioperative nursing community.

More than 500 delegates gathered at the ILIS Congress Center in Skafidia, Ilia, for a four-day program of scientific dialogue, exchange of experiences, and professional empowerment.

The congress opened with a memorable keynote lecture by archaeologist Konstantinos Antonopoulos, titled “Experiencing the Light of Olympia: From Past to Present”. The address created a meaningful bridge between Greece’s cultural heritage and the advancements of modern science.

The scientific program featured keynote lectures, roundtable discussions, oral and poster presentations, satellite clinical workshops, and interactive sessions. Topics covered a broad spectrum of perioperative nursing, including anesthetic nursing care, vulnerable populations, sterilization, infection prevention, artificial intelligence, education, management, research, and bioethics in perioperative practice.

Innovation and active participation were further enhanced through the use of the interactive Catch Box microphone and a specially designed congress mobile app, which enabled real-time engagement and easy access to scientific material.

AFEA Congress, the official organizer, expressed sincere gratitude to the Congress President, Professor Ioannis Koutelekos, for his trust, institutional support, and visionary leadership, as well as to SY.D.NO.X. for its long-standing and fruitful collaboration. Special thanks were also extended to all participants, whose strong presence and commitment were instrumental in the success of this year’s congress.
