The 16th Panhellenic Congress of Laparoscopic and Robotic Surgery, one of the most prominent scientific events in the field of minimally invasive surgery in Greece, was held with great success in Athens, reinforcing the city’s position as a leading hub for international medical congresses and scientific exchange.
Organized by AFEA Congress in close collaboration with the Hellenic Association of Endoscopic Surgery, the congress unfolded over three days of high-level scientific engagement and international collaboration. The event brought together 24 esteemed speakers from 15 countries, who shared insights into advanced laparoscopic and robotic surgical techniques, reflecting the global nature of modern surgical practice.
Under the presidency of Dr. Fotios Archontovasilis, the scientific program featured certified masterclasses, thematic sessions, and roundtable discussions that provided a comprehensive and interactive learning environment. Notably, the congress welcomed a strong contingent of young physicians and medical students, underscoring the next generation’s growing interest in endoscopic surgery.
