The international meetings industry came together at the 63rd ICCA Congress in Abu Dhabi, and under the theme "Tomorrow Starts Today", the event emphasized sustainability, innovation, and global collaboration. AFEA Congress was represented by our Vice President and CEO, Dimitra Lignou at this global event, that attracted a record-breaking 1,563 delegates from 76 countries, featuring 176 speakers and 93 sessions, making it ICCA’s largest congress to date. The main take away from the congress was the innovative space set up, introduced as "The Hub," based on 4 main content pillars, whereas additional features included the real-time session feedback through AI technology, setting a new standard for interactive, knowledge-driven events. Some more memorable moments were the hands-on CSR activities through “The gift of Love” and of course the incredible “Challenge Night” at the Abu Dhabi Warner Bros World Theme Park.
