The 5th Industrial Carbon Management Forum (ICM Forum) was successfully held on 8–9 December 2025 in Athens, bringing together representatives from European institutions, national energy authorities, industry, and academia.

Co-organised by HEREMA (Hellenic Hydrocarbons and Energy Resources Management Company) and the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Energy (DG ENER), the international Forum served as a key platform for dialogue on industrial carbon management, Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) technologies, and their role in achieving climate objectives, advancing decarbonisation, and safeguarding the competitiveness of European industry.

More than 420 delegates attended in person, while hundreds more joined online, exchanging expertise and best practices to accelerate the deployment of CCS projects across Europe. As an IAPCO accredited member, AFEA Congress was proud to be the official PCO of this important international Forum. We warmly thank HEREMA, its Chief Executive Officer, Mr Aristofanis Stefatos, as well as all participants and partners who contributed to the event’s success.
