For four days, on April 30 – May 3, 2026, Kalamata welcomed a global scientific community for the 3rd Olympiad in Cardiovascular Medicine.

Researchers, clinicians, and distinguished speakers from leading universities, research institutes, and medical centers across the US, Europe, and beyond came together to discuss, present new data, and envision the future of cardiovascular medicine. A future where AI, precision medicine, regeneration, metabolism, inflammation, and heart failure research are in the spotlight.
What made this Olympiad especially meaningful was its connection to Olympia itself. Holding the Opening Session at the birthplace of the Olympic Games gave this year’s meeting a rare sense of continuity between scientific progress, , and the spirit of excellence that inspired it.

As the Official PCO, AFEA Congress supported the organization of the 3rd Olympiad for the second consecutive time and contributed to an event that brought together such an outstanding international faculty and scientific program.
