AFEA Congress was proudly represented at the 4th edition of the IAPCO x Leading Centres of Europe (LCE) Senior Leaders Workshop 2026, held in Munich from March 25 to 27. The organization’s CEO, Sissi Lignou, participated in a dual capacity, both as President of IAPCO and as CEO of AFEA Congress, reinforcing the company’s active role within the global meetings industry.

The workshop brought together senior leaders from across the international meetings and events ecosystem, including IAPCO-accredited Professional Congress Organisers (PCOs) and representatives from some of Europe’s most prestigious convention centres. Over the years, the event has established itself as a unique platform for high-level dialogue, strategic alignment, and collaboration. Now in its fourth edition, and built on a strong three-year partnership between IAPCO and Leading Centres of Europe, the initiative continues to reflect a shared commitment to driving excellence and innovation across the industry.

This year’s programme focused on “Negotiating and Influencing Skills,” offering participants the opportunity to deepen their expertise in building effective professional relationships. Sessions were led by Andrew McFarlan and Colin Harper of Pink Elephant Communications, who provided practical insights and tools applicable to real-world business scenarios. Under the guidance of experienced facilitators, the workshop fostered meaningful peer exchange and encouraged open discussion among industry leaders.

The success of the event was made possible through the collaboration of key partners and hosts, including Messe Munchen and its Locations team, whose contribution ensured a productive and impactful experience for all participants.
AFEA Congress remains committed to actively engaging in international initiatives that shape the future of the meetings industry, continuing to contribute to the global dialogue that drives progress, collaboration, and innovation.
